Lately, I've been thinking about fairy tales. Particularly the ones that I've liked: Master Maid, The White Cat, The Tinderbox. I'm thinking about doing a steampunk version of The Tinderbox--after all, the original Scandinavian tale had an iron man instead of three dogs that was at the beck and call of the soldier. I'm intrigued by the possibilities with such a story--lots of things I can invert, revert, and twist around.
