I know, plenty of people would probably lecture me for having no excuse. But, hell, I'm no overachiever.
I am really behind, many thousands of words behind. And right now, I'm sitting in lab in one of my moments of free time to say that there is no way I'm going to make it to 20k for Script Frenzy. Not with the experiments I have going on this summer. Most of the month, I've been living, breathing, dreaming about lab. True, I've spent some free time reading--but not as much as you'd think.
Contrary to the "0 words" under my profile on the Script Frenzy site, I have been writing. Just very slowly and agonizingly. I've had three false starts. I have no idea whether I should abandon this project or not--I'll probably still plug along in July and see if I can reach the goal then.
Perhaps it's also the format. I've never written a script before. Never considered it. Maybe I'm not cut out for this format.
Well, stay tuned for more sporadic posts in the coming month. I have many more sleepless lab day/nights planned as well so it's sort of looking pessimistic on this writing front.
