These days, I think it's pointless arguing with people on whether or not binge writing is a good thing or not. For one, these people are probably never going to be swayed because they have this mindset that writing is supposed to be elitist suffering. And another, arguing wastes your time. So instead of talking in circles just write.
There's an interesting post over at Scriva about people criticizing Script Frenzy. So I Goggled this too and discovered, to my amusement, that some of the same people criticizing SF had criticized Nanowrimo as well. And these people have participated in Nano before but did not reach the 50k goal. Perhaps they've turned to bad-mouthing Nano and SF instead of looking at themselves for their perceived failures.
