I'm still trying to semi-recover from the past couple of days. Science conferences are fascinating, but they are also exhausting--even when there are almost unlimited supplies of caffeine on hand. So one can imagine that I wasn't too keen to attend a lecture today. My brain was still a little wiped out.
But that doesn't mean that I completely tune things out! Something in today's lecture totally clicked for me. It solved a problem I had with a plot point in my Nanowrimo idea. In retrospect, it was sort of a duh! realization--but then again, I don't work with plants or their particular pathogens, so I hope people can forgive me for not being entirely familiar with that subject's literature.
So yeah. Science solves everything. Even plot problems.
