I was checking on my word count ranking for my region. It is so depressing--there are so many people with more words than me even though I'm in a region where there aren't so many people to begin with. I console myself with the fact that they are all stay-at-home mothers with teenagers who have the sense to leave them alone or are students who only have classes on Saturdays. I guess I'm doing pretty well for a microbiology PhD student still making A's in all my classes...
