Yesterday, I came up with another idea. It's a fantasy murder mystery, but I'm waffling because the problem is that other than the introductory scene, nothing as really crystallized about it. It's very fuzzy, as if it's a dream that I've partially forgotten.
My two main characters for this idea are extremely flawed. One is a bit self-destructive and depressed--with good reason. The other character is emotionally cold and cynical. Both of them are called up to investigate a series of bizarre murders which points to a psychotic magic user.
I have this other idea that I've already sketchily outlined. It's more humorous and has its origins with an idea about parodying vampire hunters. But there won't be any vampires or vampire hunters except peripherally. Mostly, it has to do with a house with a mind of its own. I'm not sure about this idea either--because even though I can clearly see where it will be going, I don't think I'll have enough energy in November to pull the humor off.
